Oliver Gavin Le Mans Race Used & Signed Helmet
This Oliver Gavin helmet, made by Arai was race used at Le Mans in 2009 and ALMS the same year. 2009 was a busy year from Gavin, racing on both sides of the Atlantic for Corvette Racing in the C6R. At Le Mans, he was in contention for the class victory with teammates Olivier Beretta and Marcel Fassler, but retired towards the end to leave the sister car to take victory. In ALMS he had a fragmented season finishing sixteenth overall.
This helmet was painted by Mike Fairholme and was signed and annotated by Gavin ‘2009 Le Mans 24hrs + ALMS GT1 Corvette #4,64’ on the Iridium visor.
Oliver was considered a huge talent at the start of his career, enjoying a spell in single seaters, notably in International Formula 3000 for European Edenbridge Racing with a high of fourth at Monaco in 1999. He is a three time ALMS champion and an IMSA champion.
