Timo Glock F1 Race Used Helmet
This Timo Glock helmet, made by Arai was race used at the 2009 German Grand Prix held at the Nurburgring. Entered by Panasonic Toyota Racing, Timo qualified his TF109 on the penultimate place of the grid, but was demoted to last following a grid penalty for blocking Fernando Alonso. In the race he fared much better climbing to ninth, one place off the points paying positions.
This helmet has been specially painted by Danny Design and has been signed on the visor by Timo. The helmet paint job was designed by seven year old Tom Hoffmann who won the Panasonic ‘Kids School’ design competition. The helmet was auctioned following the race and raised nearly €10,000 for the United Nations World Food Programme.
Timo won the GP2 Series in 2007 for iSport International winning five races. The same year he enjoyed BMW Sauber F1 Team as Test driver. In 2008 he made his Formula One debut for Panasonic Toyota Racing claiming three podiums in ’08 and 2009. After three more F1 seasons, he joined the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters racing for BMW and winning five races up until 2022.
